So I ordered a pizza from papa John's at 1051 PM. They list their delivery time as 55-65 minutes. OK i'm fine with that. I'm a very patient guy. I could probably out-wait job. But I am sitting here nearly an hour later waiting on my pie. This doesn't help papa John's image with me any. For starters i prefer Dominos. I only really use papa John's because they have the best ordering website.
About an hour later I call and ask where my pizza is. The manager couldn't be nicer and told me that they got mad busy and my order was on the house. As a fast food manager myself I can sympathize, especially this time of year. I never raised my voice (never mind that I can't get louder than a whisper right now) and I get free pizza. That is all kinds of awesome.
However it still is taking forever. I get a call at 1235 that the pizza guy is on my porch. Nope. He called the wrong house. Pizza time finally arrived at 1244, one hour 53 minutes after I clicked place order.
now, will I get papa John's again? Probably. It may be a while though. Believe me, I'm not upset but wow, maybe a phone call next time?
PS. I tipped the driver. Those who know me know i tip only when my order in restaurants has no problems. That should tell you how I felt about the whole situation.
